Denny Austan, U.S. Idaho, poses on September 30 with elk he hunted in central Utah, in a photo released on Tuesday (6). He set a new record size of antlers, according to Hunt Club Boone and Crockett. The antlers got 478 5/8 points in a measurement system that considers size, symmetry and configuration. According to the club, Austan took 13 days to get to hunt the animal. The previous record of 450 6/8, had been established in 1998 in Arizona. (Photo: AP)
